PUM are individuals, organizations, institutions that experiment and set up micro-initiatives in a specific area: the Friche Eggevoort, an abandoned urban wasteland for a long time which is located at the bottom of the East flank of the Park Leopold, in the Maelbeek district (also known as the European Quarter).
Urbanism, water, biodiversity and heritage are the key words of this experience. The objectives: to promote the implementation of concrete projects, to create an urban experimental space, to set up a participatory upstream process, to create a shared space in Leopold Park where international (political) institutions are also local actors, to allow the crossing of different actors for the emergence a crossed and collective knowledge which is made up of the richness of this diversity.
